The Future Health Lab is an innovation centre for the healthcare of the future. Here, since 2023, active players of the Austrian healthcare system have been developing joint solutions for key challenges that no organisation can tackle alone. Public institutions, leading companies, interest groups and patient organisations, healthcare professionals, innovators and research institutions come together in new collaboration formats – unbureaucratically, in a protected space and on an equal footing. The initial focus of the multi-stakeholder programmes is on the optimisation of patient pathways, the health of citizens in different environments and the design of the hospital of the future. We always ask questions instead of thinking things through at our desks: Users are involved in every innovation process right from the start. This is how innovation reaches people. The Future Health Lab is run in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection and the Austrian Health Insurance Fund, as well as together with the Impact Hub. Within walking distance of Vienna Central Station, the Future Health Lab offers more than 500m² of space for quality events – such as hybrid conferences, productive co-creation sessions, relaxed networking evenings and much more.

Über mich

Univ. Prof. Dr. Siegfried Meryn, geb. 1954, ist Professor Emeritus am Teaching Center der Medizinischen Universität Wien, Facharzt und Professor für Innere Medizin und Additivfacharzt für Gastroenterologie und Hepatologie, mit einem endoskopischen Schwerpunkt.

In der Studie „Das neue Machtnetzwerk Österreichs - Netzwerk der ZukunftsgestalterInnen Österreichs“ unter die Top 10 der ZukunftsgestalterInnen gereiht. Im Bereich System Zivilgesellschaft (Soziale, ökonomische und Technologie-InovatorInnen) Rang vier und im Bereich Wirtschaft & Innovatoren Rang neun;2019/2020

Prof. Dr. Siegfried Meryn ist Initiator von Health.DigitalCity.Wien, www.health.digitalcity.wien . Unter dem Motto THINKING DIGITAL HEALTH FORWARD wird eine Plattform und ein Wissensnetzwerk für die aktuellen Trends und Visionen rund um Future Tech und digitale Transformation im österreichischen Gesundheitswesen entwickelt.

Prof. Dr. Siegfried Meryn ist Initiator von CAPE 10 -dem Haus der sozialen Innovationen und der Zukunft www.cape10.at, einem sozialen Leuchtturmprojekt mit dem Ziel im Herzen von Wien gemeinsam einen " Ort der Begegnung und Hoffnung für Alle " zu schaffen.

Prof. Dr. Siegfried Meryn lädt jeden Montag um 1845 auf ORF III zu "Meryn am Montag" ein, um gemeinsam mit einem ExpertenIn Patientanfragen per Anruf oder eMail zu einem spezifischen Gesundheitsthema zu beantworten. Jeden zweiten Mittwoch, in seinem wöchentlichen Gesundheitstalk „MERYNS Sprechzimmer“ auf ORF III um 2225 diskutieren Expertinnen und Experten sowie prominente Gäste kontroverse Standpunkte zu komplexen Gesundheitsthemen.
